Hello everyone, I applied for criminal record check through Toronto Police, website and it charged my $20 and they have mailed the certificate to my house. Is it enough as it did say on their website that it is good for immigration. Since their is no fingerprint taken in this I am worried that it is enough or not. Moreover do I even need to submit it as on their website as it says you don't need Canada pcc.

We have to give them by default or kf they ask for it. I got a pcc request because I didn't submit mine in my application. It says any country 6 months +, so does that include Canada too or they in specific mention RCMP or canadian check.

Request I got for PCC states any country 6 months + so technically Canada PCC is required but IRCC website states you don't need that.
I applied for Toronto Police Criminal Record Check and I got email that it has been processed and has been mailed to my address but then some people are saying we need the fingerprint done and get the 'Certified Criminal Record Check' and fingerprints are necessary. The IRCC website states the name of the document as Criminal Record Check and not Certified Criminal Record Check.
Moreover RCMP website states that you can got criminal record check from Police Services and if there is common name match they will ask for fingerprints and if they don't facilitate fingerprints, they will recommend you to a third party fingerprint agency and all that. But in my case they 'processed' it (Toronto Police Services) and mailed to me so that means they didn't require my fingerprints! Right?
So am I good to upload the PCC from my home country and the the criminal record check from Toronto Police Services or get the fingerprints done and then get the RCMP check. The issue is about the time tge fingerprints check, 3-5 weeks and I only am left with 26 days to upload my pcc..
Could you please tell in how many days you got reply from them and also from what day they provide you extension i mean last date of submission or from the day you got ?

Get the certified RCMP police check please , they're different.
Toronto police services is TPS
Rcmp refers to the Royal Canadian Mounted police , i know this is kinda confusing, but the "police" in Canada, isn't a homogeneous force.
TPS probably only has jurisdiction in the GTA area.
I applied on may 18, still have not received yet, still waiting for it to come. You may ask for an extension , by submiting LOE and proof that you'd done your fingerprints, they usually reply within 5 working days.
