Dear Forum members,
My question is simple yet I haven't been able to find anyone with my situation to get a satisfactory answer.
I currently have a joint account with my spouse which has more than 2 times the minimum required funds for 3 members. The joint account has me and the principal account holder while my wife is the second/joint account holder. I also have another account in my sole name which I can bring upto 12k CAD in 2 months (salary).
I currently am planning to apply for EE as a single applicant. My wife will not be accompanying me. Here's my question:
I can show my single account balance, however I'm not sure how much it's 6 month average would come to. So I'm not taking any chance and planning to include my joint account with spouse as well.
Would CIC accept joint account balance with my wife even if she's not accompanying me? Any help/quotes/advice would be appreciated.
Or, you can transfer the funds from joint account to your account with a LOE.
Though affidavit aids your claim, CIC mandates that joint accounts cannot be shown as POF unless your spouse accompanies you.
If i were you, I transfer those account to my main account and make an affidavit from my spouse. *** Tried and tested method ***

Ok this makes sense. Then I'd have to show an affidavit from my wife that the money transferred from our joint account to my account is not considered a loan and doesn't need to be returned, or something to that effect?

I guess you can find it in CIC website or if you can go with some researching, pls do let it from the first page of the last few ray of hope threads- maybe ROH-77-82

I think that the draw size will increase after the 1st Quarter as there must be a %age of declined / rejected ITAs by applicants. Furthermore, they will also get a better picture of last year's PPR holders completing their landing procedures this year.
This will give CIC a clearer picture of their quotas this year and lets assume that the %age of people landing / accepting ITAs is not as per their assumption then we can expect an increase in number of ITAs and drop in CRS score.
There may be many applicants who are in the pool but may not be able to gather all documents within the prescribed time plus many will also get rejections from CIC based on their incomplete AOR submission.
Keeping the above in view, I assume that it's better to wait until the end of March'18 and then see the trend.
I made my EE profile last night. If theres a draw and the cut is below my CRS will I receive an ITA?
Also I have not yet registered for the job bank. Can I do it after that I receive the ITA?
Suggestions are welcome
