As discussed earlier in this thread, currently sitting @ 448 and missing 1 point for spouse education (so technically I should be @449) is there any way we can report this snag to CIC and get this additional point before next draw or make an appeal to CIC after draw (probably with help of ATIP - Access to Information and Privacy)? Any thoughts???
Coz I will freak out big time if the next draw will be @ 449.
We received an answer today for our technical report on the same issue. They gave us the link to the Ministerial Instructions for the Express Entry Application Management System, which says that they are not issuing the right points:
"(f) 9 points, if their accompanying spouse or common-law partner has two or more post-secondary program credentials and at least one of them was issued at the completion of a post-secondary program of three years or more;"
We decided to wait for the next draw before doing something about this again.
as per july report, there were about 14K ppl in 400 to 449 range.
there may have been additions but many ppl must have got points for canadian degree as well.
if we assume the figure to be 18K and avg draw size to be 3K, all it takes is 3 months to clear the backlog.
considering PNPs, it will take abour 6 months from now to break 400 barrier.
And what happens in this case? Let's say that the cutoff is 450 and you submit your documentation after Feb 12th. Would they reject because you should have the same score you had at the draw day or higher?

If 450 benchmark is not going to breach in the next draw then i must say EE and Canadian immigration system is doomed.
Bcz there would be no point in bringing in 19th nov 2016 changes and then they better be keep inviting Cooks and truck drivers with LMIA and low IELTS score rather then good human capital with at least bachelor or master and high IELTs score.
