Definitely, your mind needs a break from the mental stress. You are so panicked about scoring high that it just adds more pressure!! It's basically like finding your lost car keys, no matter how hard you try you will never find it when you really want it but once you have relaxed and forgot about it, it just pops up out of nowhere
I would advise take a small weekend break with the family and go on a trip or to dinner or a movie, have a little fun to relieve your stress.
