Ok. That means file numbers are categorized according to streams / category and NOCs. I got my file number this July 2nd and my file number is XXXX-14-12XXX. My category is Strategic - Post Grad Work Permit, NOC 2132. Which means in the year 2014 there have been around 12000 applicants in my category, till July 2nd.
That's too many people for just one category and they have already given out half of the 5500 nominations for this year.

This is what I think. In the last 5 digits, the first two indicate your industry which can be service, health, or food. And the rest three are for how many applicants applied for the industry. You know what I'm saying? Hehehe just thought.
I just finish college and i have gotten a job in a semi skilled through an agency for the past two months. the company promised to permanent me fully after 90days. I still work with my off campus work permit which will expire by october. I am eligible to apply for one year post graduate work permit (because i studied for 1 year). My questions are....
1. Should i collect the 1 year post graduate work permit and apply for AINP (will one year be enough because of the long processng time)
2. or shuld i go bak to skool for another 1 year program and collect a 3 year work permit and come back to apply for AINP.
pls i need sincere answers of the best option u think of. Thanks
