My common-law partner and I are currently filling out an application for sponsorship and I had a few questions.
I am from England and he is a citizen of Canada.
We met June 2014 and have been dating since. I moved to Canada on International Experience Canada on the 16th December 2015 and have been living together since then. He is in University and will be for around another year.
I assume the common-law relationship didnt start till a year after I arrived? So this would be the 16th December 2016
When filling out the family form, do I put him under common-law partner?
Do my parents and brother need to get a medical and police checks even if they are not coming to Canada with me? And if they fail does it affect our application?
What do you think our chances of approval are?
When filling out the open work permit extension form, do I have to put down a potental employer?

can you demonstrate you've been in a genuine relationship, living together for over a year, with no criminal history? If so, 99.9999999% 'chance' of approval, and that's being conservative.
you were CL after you had been living together as a couple for a year, yes.
anything that asks your marital status, he goes in as your CL partner. no. They feature on your family info form and nowhere else no can you demonstrate you've been in a genuine relationship, living together for over a year, with no criminal history?
