Questions about Study Permit Extension

My study permit will expired at the end of July. In my college summer semester is optional, if I don't study this semester is this ok? Can I still have letter of enrolment? And how much money do I need to have in my bank?

Yes you can take a break if it is a scheduled break. You should send in your extension request sooner rather than later because the processing times are pretty long even though you would get implied status until you hear about your extension.
