Questions about extending my study permit

Hello everyone,
I'd like to ask a few questions about the IMM 5709 form.

1) For the current country of residence part, is the beginning date the day I arrived in Canada or the day my study permit was issued?

2)The reason I'm renewing my visa is my passport will expire on January 2020. I have brought my new passport with me which will expire in 10 years. For the passport number, should I use my old or new passport number?

3) Also, for the documents I need to submit, should I use my new or old passport photocopies?

4) I have also changed my program within the same university thus I'll graduate 1 year later. I know I don't have to declare that since it is within the same university. But, it will affect my graduation date. Do I need to write my expected graduation date plus 90 days?

1) About the first question ... For the current country of residence part. My first day of arrival and when my study permit issued date is different. I spoke about it with my international advisor at my college and she said to me that I need to give a date when my study permit issued. I think you need to speak about it with your advisor. Because legally - international advice can give only authorize people who have all approval documents to give you this advice. For example, in my college, it is only three persons who I can ask for advice about it. And if it will be any mistakes in a future you can legally say that this authorize person gave me this advice and prove it.

What your advisor said is correct if you entered Canada on a visitor visa before getting a study permit. A visitor is not a resident, therefore you can only be considered a resident once you go from a visitor visa to any kind of permit(study/work).

I have not heard of this authorised person thing, perhaps it is a policy of your college. Regardless, at the end of the day, you alone are responsible for your application. You cannot say x authorised person said to do this, therefore you did it and you should not face the consequences.

It is the day you came to Canada. IRCC considers physical residence.

You are 100% responsible for apps that you submit and all info in them. IRCC does not accept the "the rep/advisor/lawyer/etc. told me to do that".

I believe IMM5709 is the wrong form for me. I just need to a student visa for my new passport because my other passport will expire on January 2020. My study permit will expire in 2021. I couldn't find the visa application form on the website. Can someone please tell me the name of it?
