Hi,

I worked for 1 and a half years for a telecom operator while pursuing my engineering degree. I was hired as an paid intern for that period of time and my responsibilities were to develop a software application for the company. All this outside of Canada; I have never been in Canada.

Is this work experience valid for the Federal Skilled Program? Would it be rejected if I use the NOC for my engineering degree?

Thank you for any reply.

If you can get an employer reference for this work and it is for a role in either NOC level A, B or 0, it will be accepted. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Thank you for your answer. Yes, it is the NOC level A 2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers).

I do have a reference from this employer describing, in broad terms, what I did.

I thought that if in the NOC description it said that it needed a qualification such as a university degree o training, it would not be accepted since I was not graduated yet.
