I am a Chemical Engineer by degree but I have been working in Mechanical engineering field from last 6+ years. Am I eligible to apply for PR under FSW- Mechanical Engineer stream ?
Thank you very much for your reply. I really appreciate your time. I still need to get my educational credential assessment done, which I hopefully receive by fist week of November. With my first IELTS score of 6 my point score is 64 :-[ :-X, I want to improve it and I am giving my IELTS second time in the first week of Oct . If I submit my application with the first score and later submit the second score is it acceptable ? Do they accept applications with lower scores < 67 points
Do you think, Its very late. I know it's risky to submit so late but don't want to loose the opportunity at the same time need someones opinion. So far, only 204 applications are accepted/approved. Any idea when the cap reaches to its limit. You can give me some other tips as well which can help me to speed up the application process and avoid other delays.

It would be a guess to tell you when the cap will be reached. Keep working on your documents and send your application as soon as possible. Keep track of the number of applications received.
Make sure you work on your CIC forms, police clearances and any other additional documents and have everything ready to be sent at the moment you receive the missing documents. Make sure you are using the updated forms.
You have to submit your application with the higher score, they won't accept a second one after submission.
As per others experience, CIC is refusing applicants with less than 67 points. I cannot confirm that your application will be accepted with less than 67 points.
