Question on deferral with study permit

hello guys,

i would like to ask that can i defer my intake with a study permit issued already?
can i just apply my deferral and then inform IRCC (via webform) about my deferral? i'm not sure if that was ok or should i apply a new study permit instead?

Are you in Canada? You can take an unscheduled (but officially school sanctioned) break for up to 150 days without invalidating your SP. You can't study or work during that break.
If you're not in Canada, the SP will be issued when you arrive, as long as that's before the expiry date on your approval letter.
This is what happens when you don't have all the relevant information, eh?
