Dear All.
My husband is the primary applicant and we have received the ITA. I will be accompanying him to Canada once the application is processed and completed.
While submitting the Proof of Funds, the website states that an account statement should be provided in the principal applicant's name as a the proof.
But I have most of my funds in form of fixed deposits (term deposits). My question is- can my husband use these fixed deposit certificates as POF. The reason I ask is because these funds are not jointly owned and I am the owner, but I don't have any issue with him using the same.
One more situation is that we are applying from the UAE and my husbands account is in UAE Dirhams while my fixed term deposits are in India in INR currency.
So basically two questions here:
1) Can my husband use the funds in my name while submitting the POF. If yes, what is the process (any permission letter etc.) or if you have any website references we can go through.
2) Can he submit the statements from two different banks and in two different currencies (AED and INR).
