I am applying for PR through the Canadian Experience class and the document checklist is now telling me that I need a police check for Thailand despite the fact that I was only in Thailand from 28th Dec 2008 to 9th Jan 2009.
Does anyone know why IRCC are asking me to provide a police certificate for Thailand if I was only there for a couple of weeks? Could this possibly be an error?

well Logically the time frame you have mentioned shouldn't require a Police clearance but if they asked no point arguing to delay your file or somehow get your file burdened under other files in process , its better your provide what they have asked .

Probably an error that you have made somewhere. I know you have already done this, but double-check the dates you entered again - make sure they are in the expected format.
Some people who do online degrees in another country get asked for the PCC because of the location of the educational institution. There may be other scenarios like that .
If you can't correct it, upload a letter of explanation. Do not simply ignore it.
I was just asked for a police check from the Netherlands even though I submitted my PR before the 6 month mark and even left the country before the 6 month mark to avoid this, so annoying. I've applied for one anyway, I just hope they answer my email and say it's not actually needed, the translation and affidavit it a total joke and cash grab.
