I have a quick question and hoping someone could give me some advice. If me and my SO were waiting out to pass our one year mark of living together to apply for common-law and decided to go back to Mexico to wait out the remaining period of 3-4 months, where I (Canadian) would not be working, would I need to send proof in our application that I will to reestablish myself in Canada? As in have a job to support us? Thanks again!
Well it wouldn't be during the remaining time it will be in process because we will just be staying there until April-May right before we send in our application, and then back to Canada (he was a multiple entry visa to Canada) to wait for our application to be processed
so you will be living in Canada or Mexico during application process if in Canada no need to show that but if in Mexico you do need to show intent to re-establish
There is a part where they ask are u living exclusively outside Canada if u check no u r good to go
If you are only in mexico as a visitor then technically you are still a resident of canada and so won't need to show your intent to reestablish yourself.
But I am assuming that by only being a visitor in mexico that you would still have a canadian address.

If you are only in Mexico for 3 or 4 months as a visitor, you can claim you are just there temporarily and are actually resident in Canada. So you won't have to provide proof of your intent to settle in Canada. If you go back to Canada just before you send the application in, so you can legitimately show you are back, then the visa officer should have no questions about it.
im new here so i dont know how this goes...my question is that if a wife (canadian citizen) sponsors the husband..is it a mandatory requirement to issue a police clearance?

Yes, all parties over 18 years old being sponsored need to submit police clearance for countries where they reside for 6 months or more, there might be a case where you reside in a country for close to 6 mths so you may have to provide clearance as well
