It could be possible that Sydney-CIO sent out MR request before transferring file to Ottawa office.
we are not the whole community of QSWs! there are lots of other peoples who are not members of this or any other forums. so we could never be sure about the number of PRs and DMs each month. Sure there are many DMs and PRs this week, they were just not a member of this forum to let us know.
even the members sometimes just happily and quietly leave without informing other members about their DMs or PRs.

Ya agree with you this is very small subset of larger population ..but this at least helps in connecting dots ...to visualize bigger picture..

I think you should try with her information since she is the main applicant. which filed do you fill when linking application section?

My myCIC profile just changed this morning from "we need additional documents" to "we do not need additional documents"... I do not know if this means they finally started working again on my file, or the system finally updated the fact that they recevied my additional documents...
The odd thing is, I still see the message "your action is required"
Anybody with similar "contradictions"?

Yes I was using her information to link the application. eCAS is working fine.. I sent an email and they ask me to submit a technical difficulties form but after submission it is like auto-reply after 10 days...

I have "Your action is required" since June due to that system screw up. You can ignore this message.
Your status change means that Immigration Officer actually opened up file ( = your file is being worked upon) , reviewed additional document and changed status after confirming that document is as per his/her expectation.
