Since the valid duration for PCC is 12 months/one-year, I would expect that CIC will finish at least the background check within 12 months after the submission of App if the PCC was submitted in the original App. Am I correct? Then I can definitely expect my DM by the end of this month or late beg of next month. Or is it possible that they'll further request new PCC for processing background check??

CIC consider date when they received PCC from applicant even if application processing goes beyond 12 months they will consider pcc valid , it's only the medical they might ask to perform again if has passed beyond 12 months mark...

I sent it on Friday and it is showing as delivered on Monday morning.

OK! Mine was delivered Thursday morning. I dont have any way of knowing what is happening with my application as I dont have the tracking number or access to MyCIC. Let`s see if my passport is in the mailbox when I get home.

No email, just MyCIC status has changed. Also even though it says "Check your messages below for details." there is no message. I think it is COPR and will come by mail with my passport
And under "View my submitted applications or profiles" section it can be read that "Permanent Residency" is "Approved".


There is no change in ECAS. Still same as "Decision made"

I think you can try sending them an email or call on call center to find out if they have sent you the passport. You can probably mention that you are missing the tracking number and if they can send it to you.

Did you get your passport back?

No, not yet. I have Canada post tracking number, but still, it says "There is no data for this item". I assume CIC will send it tomorrow or latest on Tuesday. They approved my PR with document number and etc. yesterday. Unfortunately, Friday has a holiday in Quebec and Monday has a holiday in Ontario. So definitely next week I will get the passports and already arranged a friend for Landing on Saturday

Did you submit PCC with application?

Check spreadsheet in my signature , you will find several people in same situation as you are ( including me )

Do you call on same number for passport queries also.. I thought they only help till status changes to Decision Made.. I may be wrong.. I think I do have the tracking number for return envelope..

I will call on the same number as the one for applications processing.

Received my GCMS/CAIPS notes today.

My application is stuck on Criminality: In Progress. My best guess is that this is due to my late submission of PCC ( after AOR).

Dorian, dancingfrog, lewisxaing, QS2017, itsjap89 and Bestocoto ( others guys with delayed MR)

Did you submit your PCC alongwith application or after AOR?

I have submitted my PCC along with application unfortunately I have not received MR

Some people got it within a week. Recently though it seams it is taking a bit longer .. I hope 2 week time mentioned here is still valid
