Rocket speed...
which visa office?
Is it customary when the VO sends a medical request, to also ask you to update forms imm5669, imm5406, send page of bio data in passport and send updated photos in addition to sending a return envelope and pay landing fees?
How long will my application take if I need a medical exam?
After a medical examination by a Panel Physician, the results are sent for review to the CIC medical office which serves your region. The CIC medical office will assess the results and send their assessment to the visa office which is processing your application.
Processing times can vary but generally:
For temporary resident (visitor, student, worker) applications, it normally takes four weeks after your medical examination before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application.
For permanent resident applications, it normally takes three months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Panel Physician before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).
I have applied for QSW through lawyer. I can check my application status through Check Your Application Status link. Can I also create online account using GCKey. I am currently at Federal stage and have submitted landing fees and police clearances.

Yes you can check the status of your application through ecas & through mycic as well once you have received the Aor.

You can but I will advise you not to link it. If you link your application you will be able to see your updates. However, your lawyer will not be able to view your updates and important information that they have to address or draw to your attention. Instead ask your lawyer where your application has reached and ask them to send you a screen shot. It is dangerous to link your application if you have a representative.
Repeat question.
Probably from those who received their medical or even their COPR.

Countless times in this forum I have read the stories of distressed souls losing Immigration opportunity just because their representative were not proactively looking into mails, emails and notifications from MIDI and CIC.
I would strongly advise you to link application to GCKey and monitor account yourself rather than relying "I-don't-care-as-I-already-got-my-money" lawyer
Bajanquebec.....I didn't receive any request to update the forms. However they just asked me in every correspondence to update them in case of any change in family situation or address etc. So I don't think it is customary though I have read a few people on this forum talk about your same situation.
@ Amitr if I were you I would link my application. Whatever info comes via your linked account Will also go to your lawyer

I assume you submitted your passport already? If so, when you submitted, did you have to complete a passport submission letter, and other documents at that point, like updated photos etc?
