Hi,
What are the possible effects on QSWP application process one could imagine after having done the upfront medical test without receiving official correspondence from officer?
As far as I know clinics in Montreal are not allowing up-front medicals anymore. They ask for the request.

Congratulations! Very happy to hear this. A great relief for other Outland applicants!
Do you know which visa office is handling your application since you are an Outland applicant ? Where did you apply from ?
the timeline bar is back, did anyone check ?

yeah, now I went to check, but it's still considering the old expected waiting time of 22 months..

Congratulation
Are you inland or outland ?
I called ircc yesterday
-eligibility not start
-security not start
Which means nothing is in progress since 2020 july at which month I passed criminal.
Does your status say “background check is in progress“?
Application received on 19 Jun 2019
Medical request received on 18 Jan 2021
The security check can be much longer than 3 months, I'm waiting for 18 months.
@Bafnamit @Leokun I have been waiting since December 2019, when status for background check said it is in progress. So, almost 13 months for me up to now! As such we really can’t say it takes three months. Each case is different and agents process files differently I am guessing.

Are u Outland applicant? Which visa office?
Has anyone invited their parents since May 2020? CIC asks visitors of temporary residents to take written authorization before coming. Anyone requested that? If yes, what reason you gave?
It has to be a Solid reason.. most likely medical reason, Essential reason...
I tried to invite my dad, as he wanted to visit me , he already have 10 years of TR visa..
I sent the email to the OttawaCIC email and was denied as this was not an essential reason to travel during covid times...
well its way over 3 months that i have been hearing since summers 2020, that its on background check..
Your timeline and profile is similar to mine.
The only difference i filed in November 2018 and you in Dec 2018..
Also I did medicals upfront, as I chose QSW over EE invitation which i received , since i was already living in Montreal.
I hope to get medical request and PR soon..
I have the similar timeline as yours and I was wondering if the Biometrics is also another requirement or last step before the DM.
That's strange...the first step is to pass eligibility then rest process continues..I think agent gave some wrong info...did you receive pre arrival email??
I believe I didn't pass eligibility because Yes NO PAL.
