Hello,
Can anyone tell me if background check is conducted before or after medical request? We received the medical request a couple of months ago but had to delay it due to pregnancy. Meanwhile we sent a couple of additional documents they requested. Just wondering if they are not replying because BGC is still going on?
P.S. we had also received pre-arrival services email and RPRF shortly before medical request...
In order to apply from Quebec you need a CSQ, the normal way to get it takes about 1year... the express way takes 20 days aprox but you will need to be either a postgraduate in Quebec or have 1 year work experience in Quebec... so either way it's gonna take you long to get the CSQ. Plus, once you get the CSQ and apply for PR, you don't have the right to get an open work permit (in Ontario I'm pretty sure you do) plus you need to learn French. on top of that, Pr processing time for skilled workers in Ontario is 6 months whereas in Quebec is 17 months. As you see, all advantages in Quebec............ I'd say try Ontario..!!!
Hi all,
I'm an inland PEQ applicant. Here's my timeline:
Application received: 1st November, 2017
AOR: 25th January, 2018
Medical Request: 25th July, 2018
Pre-arrival email: 26th July, 2018
Medical passed: 30th July, 2018
Background check: still in progress
Anyone in the same timeline?
Also, I noticed that May 2017 did not receive PPR, but June, July and August 2018 applicants are getting PPRs now according to the spreadsheet. Why is there such a discrepancy?

Hi
1- Will that affect the processing of my file ? No
2-what shall I do shall in the next step, how can i change my address as I will stay here only for 1 year ? Any conditions change you should inform then immediately. Change your address through IRCC webform.
3- Can I do the medicals from the new location ? and how can I send it ? Yes you can do, wait for the instruction from IRCC, once you are instructed you can do medicals and the doctor itself will update your results to IRCC by e-medicals.
Please let me know ,after getting the immigration visa to Quebec ,the time frame that I will have to be able to land in Quebec
Is it one year from medical or not ?
My GCMS notes says security not started ? Any idea how long will it take ? Eligibility, criminality and medicals are passed.
