Just want to share some info. My CIC status is in IP2 ( Background processing) since Dec 2017. My medical has been expired in Jan 2017 but status showed that they do not need any mode medical results. Two days before, I received an email that requested new medical exam and my CIC status has been changed to medical exam requested. As I know, my first medical exam status was passed, so this medical request indicates that my case is almost finalized. Am I missing something? or Am I thinking in a correct way? I have filed federal Aug 22, 2016.

Just got my CSQ yesterday and I'm about to send the PR application from inside Canada.
My passport is good, but my national ID card expires on august. I'm wondering that by the time they process the application the ID will have expired and they will refuse my application. Anyone knows something about this?

That is not an issue. First, an ID card is not a cumpolsary document, but your passport and birthcertificate are. I was in the same situation like you. I sent my federal application when my ID was to expire in 2 months. When i got a new one i updated my VO and they acknowleged the reception. However on my GCMS notes i see no trace of that update.
Brief, ID cards are just for identification purposes. By the time my CSQ was issued, the ID card and Passport i used were long expired.
If they need an updated ID from you, they will ask you, not refuse your application, its just like refusing your application because your CSQ expired while in the process

My daughter passeport will expire soon and we are waiting for the Passport request, we wrote to sydney to notify that but nothing, we are in asylum and can't renew her passport. how can we do to accelerate the procedure ? or do you think they will deliver something else to her as travel document?

I applied for PR under Quebec Skilled Worker on December 15, 2016. Last month I received an email from CIC stating the following:
"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
Ø Schedule A: Please provide a separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature. Questions 9, 10 and 11 must be completed. Put"N/A" if you are not concerned.
Ø This must be received at this office by:2018/03/04."
While refilling this form I realized that I had earlier made 2 mistakes in the original form. First, I left some columns empty that did not apply to me. Second, I mentioned 'no' in the question related to visa refusal, I mistakenly took the question for Canada visas only. My tourist visa for US had been refused once in 2014.
I corrected these 2 mistakes and resent the form but haven't heard back from CIC yet. I'm little worried since it's been more than 15 months since I made the application. Anyone with the similar experience?
Note- I cleared medical and submitted RCMP record already.

I made exactly the same mistake back in November 2017, I have received the same email and corrected and send them and as always didnt hear from them since then, but I have asked GCMS note in February and saw the my security check section is empty which means they are working on it (I have seen one the blog post here that, if your security check is empty and you have a number like 16.1(c) on the top right corner which means either your security is underway or done). I haven't heard from them since November 17, 2017 (i got my pre-arrival service msg). I have sent them email and tried to contact them but didnt get any respond. I am kind of hopeless now and gave up checking status or contacting them. I am an inland applicant and applied October 13, 2016.
Hope you will find some peace of your mind thinking of my situation. But if you havent asked for GCMS note then go for it. you might have a clue if they are working on it or not.
Is that mandatory to receive the prearrival email for inland applicants
I am seeing in the spreadsheet that the applicants(inland) have received it even their medical is done and not being received whose medical is already done
