A bit of a random question, but does anyone around here know whether there's a difference in processing times (at the federal level, that is) for PEQ-Graduate and PEQ-Work permit applicants? Theoretically, how one got his/her CSQ should make no difference for the federal level, but based on timelines I've seen around this website, it seems that we PEQ folks (generally) get our PR applications processed faster than those who got their CSQs through the regular skilled worker program. It just made me wonder if perhaps there's also a difference between the two classes of PEQ.

No difference at all, in federal stage PEQ or regular program are the same, advantage of PEQ is that you get your csq faster.

I am a graduate PEQ and it's been more than 10 months that i am waiting.

Perhaps that PEQ graduates tend to be younger and therefore it takes a shorter amount of time to do background checks. I could be wrong though.

But it really seems like it's random, unfortunately. Some people get it very fast others take forever. It's really annoying actually because it's hard to plan around it.

I would say 6-12 months at least.. you don't want them to contest it (not sure how strict they are on this)

I am new in French language and not know about its process and prepation ,I saw some websites for French language it seems me easy but I have not much Anybody which have French material for prepation of Canadian immigration please share me or guide me abut www ….. if anybody which already taken French language test can me tell how it difficult or easy..and score want for immigration and what is its process for registration ? I am in UAE and here is no branch of French language test center what can I do ?? can anybody guide me? it will great help

Is anyone here having trouble seeing their eCAS status? Once I try to log into the system, the bottom half of the screen blanks out for me (I can see up to the "Online services" and "FAQ/Security" lines, but everything below that is a grey blank area). I'm getting this problem since yesterday on two different computers, so I'm thinking it can't be a problem with my machine.

I would upload a screenshot, except I don't know how to.

How do I know if my file is in CPP-Ottawa or Sidney? I saw some people are being processed in Sidney.
I sent my process there and received the email saying it would be transferred to the visa office.

I think ultimately all applications go to CPP-Ottawa - it's just a matter of when. Either way, the best way to know for sure where your application is currently being processed is by ordering GCMS notes.
