Hi to all Quebec experts,

Pls respond to my below queries;

1. Presently I m in UAE, whether I need to submit file to Abu dhabi or London?
2. Initially, whether all documents need to be submitted with appli form or later?
3. Once we reach Quebec, what is the stay requirement over there? I.e When we can move to other province like Ontario..
4. Can we use English in day-to-day communication or French is compulsory?

Thanks,

1. Your BIQ office is determined by the country of residence. if you've been in UAE for more than 1 year, then its the Bureau d'immigration du Québec in Damascus that you've to apply to.
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/biq/damascus/index.php

2. All the documents that they have asked for : Imp ones like Edu, Work Ex, Lang skills, ID docs have to be provided at the time of application. Attested copies will do. Originals will be verified during the interview.

3. there are no explicit timelines but I've read articles and posts here about people who move to other provinces have run into trouble. Getting this info is no big deal for the Govt, so its risky.

4. Simple, Its a french speaking province. its the official language of communication. So knowing it helps in securing work and makes life easier ! is it possible to survive in UAE without Arabic ? yes ! Will Arabic help you professionally & socially ? Oh yes ! ;)

hope this helps ! all the best :)

If Damascus is the office, where will be the Interview conducted for UAE applicants....?

am not sure about this (UAE). but I'll cite 2 other cases.

residents of India - BIQ:Hong Kong, but interviews in Delhi.
Residents of some european countries: BIQ Vienna, Interview in Vienna.

Hi to all Quebec experts,
Pls respond to my below queries;
1. Presently I m in UAE, whether I need to submit file to Abu dhabi or London?as said by other member u have to submit your application to BIQ damacuss
2. Initially, whether all documents need to be submitted with appli form or later?yes u need to send all the documents with your form. If u don't have French language certificate then u can send that one in latter stage.
3. Once we reach Quebec, what is the stay requirement over there? I.e When we can move to other province like Ont u can move. Any where but it make problem when u will applying for permanent , because u suppose to stay in Quebec to live and work there to help Quebec economy.
4. Can we use English in day-to-day communication or French is compulsory?in Quebec French is main language and all of the buissnes uses French language , so speaking French is to survive , but speaking English is advantage but not used in daily life

Thanks,
