Hi All i have done MBA (Completed in 2010) and Master of science in information technology (Completed in 2002) and also my bachelors is B.COM (Completed in 1999).


Please let me know, How many point will i get for my education and area of training.

Hi everyone
I want to apply for QSW 2015 but I have not received my CSQ yet.
Should my first step be to obtain CSQ? if so , what is the approximate processing time for obtaining CSQ if i have all the necessary documents ready?
All in all i wonder if i can reach this years cap?

Quick question, if anyone has an idea about it:
I applied my file in December along with PCC for my country (which I received in November with a 6 month validity). I have received my AOR already but my PCC will expire this month. Should I be pro active and apply for another PCC for my country at the end of this month or my existing PCC with immigration will be ok since it expires after I received my AOR.

I've sent my documents to CIC in october 2015 and I've received my AOR in february 2015 and finally in march 2015 I've received an email from Singapore visa office that shows they've got my file. Now I've some questions. It will be grateful if you could answer me. What will be the next step? Medical exams request? How long does it take usually to receive this email? And then how long does it take to get visa from this step?

Quebec Immigration - Language Proficiency


The Language Proficiency criterion for English and French is one of the ten criteria for which points are awarded under the Quebec Immigration selection system.

Up to 22 points are awarded under the Language Proficiency criterion of Quebec immigration on the following basis:

French Language

French Proficiency Low Beginner High Beginner Low Intermediate High Intermediate Advanced

Listening 1 point 3 points 4 points 6 points 8 points
Speaking 1 point 3 points 4 points 6 points 8 points

Maximum 16 points


English Language

English Proficiency Beginner Intermediate Advanced

Listening 1 point 2 points 3 points
Speaking 1 point 2 points 3 points

Maximum 6 points


French Language Proficiency:

BEGINNER LEVELS:

LOW Beginner -

* Listening: Able to understand short statements (commonly used phrases);
* Speaking: Able to express basic needs.

HIGH Beginner -

* Listening: Able to understand practical information of everyday life;
* Speaking: Able to make yourself understood in familiar and foreseeable situations.


INTERMEDIATE LEVELS:

LOW Intermediate -

* Listening: Able to understand significant information about familiar and foreseeable situations;
* Speaking: Able to express yourself in a comprehensible manner on subjects related to everyday life.

HIGH Intermediate -

* Listening: Understand detailed information about subjects you are familiar with, or concrete and abstract subjects;
* Speaking: Can clearly express yourself on subjects related to your areas of interest.


ADVANCED LEVEL:

Advanced -

* Listening: Understand detailed information related to social and professional life;
* Speaking: Can confidently and precisely express yourself on a variety of subjects.

Is it compulsory to have french proficiency when applying for quebec?
My points are already 66 without french.

If you have enough points, its not a must that you must provide a french test,
But they are yet to open/start accepting this year's applications

Also intake period of applications is yet to be announced, today they posted on Quebec immigration site that this intake period will be announced during 2015-2016 until yesterday was 2015 only, I guess they still have backlogs of previous years . Waiting waiting.

Hello ;D, which Quebec Immigration site are you talkin about? In the official site, it doesn't say 2015-2016, it says "The application intake period will be announced later in 2015".. :-X

It does. On the French version, which is always updated first.

As a general rule, if there is a discrepancy between French & English pages on the site, go with the French version: I can't find the reference right now, but there's official documentation somewhere around which states that English and other language versions of government documents are provided as a courtesy/service; French is always the official version.
