The Ircc and the Federal government are just as guilty as the Quebec government if they see the injustices committed by François Legault's government and do not take action.
I hope all of us here that are waiting have some good news coming. Would love for my wife to be able to finally work or at least get the financial assistance for the french language courses she has been taking for the past year.
This article states that about 20500 applications will be processed in the next three years. Curious to see how much that reduces time. In a couple days it will be 17 months since we submitted our application.
I'm curious to see how this will improve the timeline, my MP recently told me my application will take 34 months..... so early 2025 it should be completed fingers crossed it gets reduced. I've been waiting since May 2022
For me it's been 15 months, From what I read, if you already have approval from quebec (CSQ), then you should see a reduced time, though that's not clear what it will be like.
We submitted our application for family sponsorship for my wife and stepdaughter on April 12, 2022, and received the CSQ in August 2022. Since then, it has been quite draining to see no progress. With the latest news, I hope something will be done soon. Honestly, I've been feeling so sad, to the point where I might describe it as depression. All this seems to stem from the belief, seemingly held by Legault, that I am a second-class citizen because I live in Quebec. Despite having paid my taxes and being a conscientious citizen, this appears not to be enough for them.

Based on my experience having my MP check our application, it seems they don't know much of anything. I dont know if its because they lazily check the status without inquiring much or what it is.
