The new rules became more similar to FSW since now there's a maximum cap of 20,000. Also, high intermediate french is a very time consumable new requirement for non-francophones. That's fine to reach B1 in several months and everyone is capable of doing it, but the gap between B1 and B2 is pretty significant. As you become more proficient in any language it becomes more and more difficult to improve further.

thank you for the reply. May ALLAH Bless you. i sent my TCFQ result alongwith my application with score B1: Speaking and A2: Listening, and i am still learning more french.
I have finally dispatched my entire documents to my Lawyer Campbell Cohen Law Firm today and hope they launch my case as soon as possible to the Immigration Office.
The new rules do not mean that B2 will be a minimum requirement from 1st of August, only that you will not get points for B1 and below scores. Of course it is still a big hit, since B1/B1 worth 8 points currently, which goes to 0, and that missing 8 points can be hard to compensate from other factors. But still, it is not impossible, and I am sure they will still honour any french knowledge at the interview. Also, we do not know how awarded points will change for other factors, like education, children or age.
In my opinion this change regarding language points will not reach its goal, as prioritization only goes for Quebec experience, job offer or priority AOTs. So you can get prioritized with no french knowledge with a given AOT, but also possibly go to the end of a long queue with C2 french knowledge, if none of these priority categories apply to you.
