I have/had the same problem. I sent my application last friday only to realize i'd messed up entering my surname and middle name and I thought I could not make any changes/correction until I got a file number (altho' ambi had told me to write to them).Anyway, I called BIQ paris and spoke to a lady who said I should write a letter explaining the mistake and correction. She said to include in the letter the day I sent my application and from where and they'd use this info to attach my explanation (letter) to my application. I did that yesterday. So I guess the answer to your question (if you are using BIQ paris) is that it is possible to write even without a file number. Good luck

Has anyone submitted his/her application without any French exam results and then later on got a request from the visa office to submit his/her French exam test results? or they never ask for it if you don't submit it ???

I submitted my application without french results, and they never asked for it. However, in interview letter they asked to bring french results, if i have not submitted any. but still i didnt have anything, so i went without it.

It depends on BIQ Officer. Some people in here got it by email and some by post. To be on the safe side don't forget to add your BIQ's email address or the Government of Quebec's domain in the white list. Cheers
