Hello everybody !
Thanks very much for this nice forum, I am egyptian. Actually i have applied for the CSQ to the office of Damascus March 2011 and actually i have recieved the number of reference on july 2011, Indeed, i have traveeled from Egypt to South korea on August 2011 for studying.
I have some questions hoping i can find answers from your experience
1- IS there difference between the ref. No. and the file number?
2- Actually if i want to do my interview in Hong Kong office, it will be more easier for acceptance or no? And i have to travel again to Egypt when i recieve the date of the interview?
3- Actually i have TOEFL ibt 85. Is that enough for english requirements? or i need more?
4- My french is A2 level but i have never done test, so what test i should do and which result i must get?
Thank you for your attention

hi cdv222,
sorry, wanted to mention this one earlier already,.. it has slipped my mind...
I arrived in mid July 2010 with a WHV (open permit) valid for one year. I found a job 2 weeks later (beginning august), lucky me,...guess my 15year pastry chef experience helped me a lot. 8)
I then applied, as mentioned, by the end of november. btw, as much as i've heard already, there normally seems to be no need of an employment if you go for the CSQ. (!)
the missing documents were my study diploma(s) (apprenticeship and school), and payslips/proof of employment for the last 10 years. all of them notarized copies, (!) and where necessary, translation. (i choose french to make the french VO happy

)
Eventually, all the necessary information is actually all written on the Quebec_immigration website, i didn't see it in the beginning, i had to dig quite deep to find the info. very confusing.
any more questions?
regards,

Hi everybody,
My name is Tanya, I reside in Russia.
I sent CSQ application to Quebec Vienna (Austria) office In June, 2011 and still havn't got any reply.
Is it ok that it takes this long?
Also, during this period I changed my last name (got married) - would it cause huge problems to my application or i just send all updated papers once my application is processed?
Just send your updated forms and all necessary documents of your spouse and your self.
Thank you,
Tanya

You don't have to worry if you are in Quebec.. they want their student to stay there.
How is your french ?

I just took a basic french language course in Dawson last month. so, my french is very very limited.

My advice is to continue taking french courses till you reach a level where you can communicate to anyone freely in the street and have any basic conversation.. Continuing learning french would be your entry ticket to Quebec man.
Good Luck
Hi guys,
@Egrace
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information with us. I am glad that you are full of energy and digging down deep into Quebec' society. I wish you all the best and wish that you could become such a successful example for all of Quebec lovers.
@Francaise
Thank you, for sharing the link. Lets see how it goes but I guess without french we have only 10% chances to get accepted.
@OsamaR
Thank you man for creating such a wonderful thread but I will suggest you that it would be more easy to use google spreadsheets as it would be more easy to manage and anyone can sort it according to their requirements. You can find my details on the sideline.
@All
Congratulations for all of those who have received AORs, Second AORs, CSQs, and PR. Wish all of you very best in the future.
Cheers
Hi Still Hope,
