Hi my time line is as follows:

AOR received 14 July 2010
Communication for French documents received 19 Sept 2010, they gave us 120 days to submit the necessary documents. Still awaiting reply

thanks for the info really appreciate. Me and my husband are applying for QSW but were requested for DELF examination level A2( this is based on the level of french proficiency u ticked on ur form). We had already stated that it only takes place twice a year in Karachi and we would have to wait till June to take the exam( u should av opted for any other recognized french exam that comes up quite often like teF,tefaq e.t.c. We sent a letter from our tutor stating that we have the required level of French and that we have been stuidying to improve our writing abilities.( the leter of recommendation from ur tutor is not sufficient, were the recommendation meant for english proficiency, it would av been ok
Its been 3 mnths and still no reply, has any1 ever been in this situation?( ur sending the required docs is actually delaying the progress on ur file, no doubt ur reviewing officer would av subjected ur file to several brought-forward dates.
PLEASE IF I MAY ASK, WERE YOU NOT GIVEN A 90DAYS PERIOD TO SUBMIT THIS RESULT? COS SUCH REQUEST IS USUALLY TIED TO A 90DAYS GRACE PERIOD AFTER WHICH THE CASE WILL B CLOSED IF THE APPLICANT FAIL TO RESPOND WITHIN THIS PERIOD

My wife's passport is set to expire in September, Can I renew it and send the new passport details ?

Do I need to inform the BIQ (Honk Kong) in advance ? Please let me know if there are any procedures needs to be followed.

Hey Plncmy...my opinion is to get it renewed...once the new passport is received then u must inform BIQ HK..!!!

How is waiting for interview call is going on ? Have you got any news ?

As you can see from the timeline of other users, the average waiting period for interview is 7 months so count from the day you received your AOR.

They will send you a convocation letter in the mail . Since you applied in October last year, I am thinking your interview will be in MAy or June (if there's no interview waiver)

Yeah your guess seems to be right as they don't have any interview for hong kong till end of April and more likely they are gonna have in May or June.

since passport renewal will not alter your wife's country of citizenship as at the time of initial application,and her date of birth, there is no need informing BIQ. BIQ only need the information page of passport for to determine if applicants have submitted their application to the correct Biq office based on the country of citizenship they are claiming. BIQ does not afix anything whatsoever on passports. but make sure u have ur renewed copy ready by the time u will be filing the federal part of your processing
