It will be fine, nothing comes easy
True
If it wasn't like that none of us would bother applying for CSQ.
No pain no gain.
I am afraid the only advice I have is stay wherever you are, unless your house is about to be bombed 8)

you can discuss and take your advises from Ketevan
Well I believe you will get your job within a few months, because you already have order permit and you have north americam diploma. It is those who do not have american diploma and comparative evaluation / license who suffer here.

Seems that after the visa is stamped it begins the road to hell instead of having the reason to celebrate ;D
Then we'll need lots of patience and endurance like the slaves who built great pyramides
In this case it makes more sense to work in the garden or in the yard and throw away the degree
That's gonna be a better preparation for landing.

When this wait gona be over ? can any body tell me
Keep waiting, by the time most of us go for medicals, we could be suffering from a desease cause by impatience, that will eliminate us at the Federal stage, and they will not reimburse us, so their economy is betteroff & we are worse off. hahahah so just take a chill glass of wine and push down the summer pudding

Thanks Ketevan. I'm not worried about it at all. Just replied to Lemans' post.
You're absolutely right that it's better to stay where you're and I agree with this by 100%.
However, there're other circumstances that influence the decision and that's why we all applied for CSQ and are present here on the forum
For instance, I constantly receive several job offers from Massachusetts and other states and once they hear that you're not a PR the response is the same in all cases "We wish you good luck in all future endeavors". That's cause my resume had been posted a long ago everywhere since I've been looking desperately for any opportunity last year. And now it's all gone. If they weren't late by several months I wouldn't start my CSQ project and wouldn't begin learning french
I think personally that there's no "ifs" in the life. We just have to struggle and keep up with what we currently have and use our best judgement in making a future decision. Otherwise, I can say that If I had a good establishment at home I wouldn't come to the US for grad school. Having 2 degrees in science and eng I worked as a coach in a fitness club unofficially without any prospective. My ambitions pushed me to learn english and to go for PhD to the US. I never thought about it before. I know many people who were sponsored by their home countries to study in the US. And after that they return and help with the knowledge acquired obtaining posts in the government/industry/academia. But that's absolutely not my case. In my country a degree from MIT or Harvard won't grant you any position. And let's lets forget the degrees for the moment. The degree is just a piece of paper; The skills and experience worth nothing and that's the worst thing. You only need connections and that's it. That's why people buy degrees cause they don't have any value in terms of knowledge and we're kinda in the corruption pit
If it wasn't like that there would be no need for all these licenses and comparative evaluations.
Dear friends,
I am here again for the same subject matter of points awarded for schooling so as to get rid of dilemma occurred on me.However,I should be aware of the points to qualify for CSQ before the submission of initial application.I kindly request you guys for concrete clarification on the points granted for education.I have consulted canadavisa.com for entire evaluation of my profile. My spouse has 3 years certificate in nursing which I regarded as equivalent to 3 years DCS nursing as per educational framework of Quebec. On their official website,I have found that 3 yrs DCS nursing is in the section of 16 points AOT.Similarly, this has also been mentioned that post secondary technical diploma attesting to 2 or 3 yrs of full time studies in training listed in section A or B of the AOT criterion is awarded with 10 points.By coming to this point ,I fully assumed that My application is eligible for 26 points(AOT16 and education 10 points).Plz. I need your help in this concern.

Hello friends,
so finally i got my AOR and RECU by snail mail this morning.
so the wait begins.
i have a question, i have 2 numbers on this letter in the reference part.
Ref Individuelle: starts with PA
Dossier No : starts with PA000......
please which is my file number and what is the other. kinda confused. and by the way the AOR was dated 23rd july with the subject : ouverture de votre dossier de demande de ceritifcate de selection du Quebec.
congratulations on your aor, this means there still hope for non priority applicants, since they have sent you aor it CAN mean one thing that you meet the initial points, I believe they immediately return those applications which do not meet the required initial points especially nowadays.
Thanks all!

how do you know when a case file arrives at you BIQ? my file reads PA means paris, how do i know when it arrives there?
In the AOR I have this field, don't you?:
DATE DE RÉCEPTION DU DOSSIER

Pepepa we have the same BIQ Office and the same timeline. My file was transfer to Mexico on April 15 and I got my AOR on June 5. I too only got a file number. To be able to display your timeline you need to keep posting. I think after you have made about 20 posts are no longer a newbie and can update your profile. What is your AOT and which country are you from?
I'll have to check at home, but I think it was: U115
I'm from Argentina.. you?

I'm on the same BIQ. Just like you on the "overture de dossier" email they just send the no. ref ind. However, they had contacted me before and have given me dossier number and no ref ind in an email.
I guess that what you can do is call them and ask about your dossier number. Whenever you contact them by phone you only need to give them your individual number and full name/dob/address; so once they have verified it's you, they probably can give you that info right away.
on regards to question 3. I don't think adding new info will change your date. The overture de dossier date seems to be the important date when it comes to processing so adding something will probably won't change anything.
Do they really answer??? I will call!!
Well, As I thought, they don't answer
Do you guys have a phone number where you know they answer for BIQ Mex?
thanks!

Hello everyone,
I've submitted my application in June and I still haven't received AOR. However, today I realized my credit card was charged with the total application fee. How do you think, is this a reason to be happy? Have I passed any initial threshold?
I have gotten married and received my AOR recently (actually dated 2 weeks ago but I didn't get an email, so just got the post now..and I'm running out of time...only have 2-3 days to complete everything)
I have a few questions:
My original marriage certificate is in arabic from UAE courts, so should I attest the original arabic by ministry of justice and then ministry of foreign affairs, and then re-attest a copy of it from ministry of foreign affairs, and then also attest the english certificate from both these departments as well? (thats a lot of attestations for each)
Secondly, my husband has done 2 years vocational training in Aeoronautical Engineering...but they only give points for 4 year bachelor, so do I leave his AOT blank in the form?
Thanks a lot for the help at the earliest possible...

Hello, I don't have the "date de reception du Dossier" on my AOR, just the reference Individuelle and. Dossier No, wondering what the Reference Individuelle is meant for though
Oh you worked as fitness coach, I guess you must have Adonis's physical shape!
I am afraid Ivy League diploma does not even mean much in North America. My colleague in call centre has done MSC at Boston college in environmental studies and has spent 6 years working in the centre. He is canadian citizen. and in former socialist countries diplomas mean even less because people think that we got our degrees as they get theirs - by buying at bazaars. In my opinion, university education does not prepare for jobs and if I was employer I would prefer a vocational school graduate with years of experience over fresh university graduate. Saying this as a person who just finished PhD at the world's 50th best university and cannot find even one marketable skill to put on CV, except running useless statistical tests with enormous probability of error on data that was randomly compiled by idle government officials. In Quebec a graduate of 1-year vocational school gets job immediately after final internship. A graduate of university begs for jobs for years. Nevertheless, professors receive ridiculously high salaries starting at 80 000 CAD. It seems university education exists just to fund a few lucky individuals who were lucky enough to penetrate the system via their supervisors.

Technically you are right of course but you can't really use French degrees as a reference as they are all covered my a Mutual Recognition Agreement, so they are treated the same as a Québec degrees, one of the advantages of gaining a degree in France if yuo want to live in Québec...
all french degrees are not covered under ARM. You can find the list mentioned in the link given below:
