Some good news from me, I just called MICC, my application is suddenly In Process, and IT IS PRIORITY. This means, that they actually got it out of the normal queue, and put it into priority based on the new AOT rules (I have a Computer Engineer Masters degree, U062, NOC2147). I am really curious now, if I will get waiver also based on 63 points (but no french points in that, based on new rules).

Congrats!
Were you a priority under old rules? When did you apply?
Thanks!

Under old rules, it was only 6 points for AOT, now it is 12. Seems like 12+ is still priority.

Umer, I explicitly asked the CC guy, if my application has the priority flag, and he confirmed it twice (I could not believe it at the first time).

Otherwise the quote from you is exact, you just miss a small detail. Original french text from GPI-3-1:
"Tel est le cas lorsque le candidat
ou son conjoint est visé par une offre d'emploi validée par le MICC ou lorsque le
candidat ou
son conjoint est formé dans un domaine offrant de bonnes ou
relativement bonnes perspectives d'intégration professionnelle."
By "bonnes ou relativement bonnes perspectives" they mean 16 and 12 points.

Congratulations!
So now you've verified that yours will be processed under new rules. May I ask when they have opened your file or what the date in your AOR is? Thanks.

Dear Umer Shahzad,
have you applied for the Quebec Immigration process as your timeline is not showing anything like that.

Received mid January 2013, CC charged early March, and actually no AOR at all, only a receipt of the fee payment by CC, also early March. About 10 days ago they said it is opened, but not in process yet. Today the guy said something like "It looks good, it is in process". Then I asked "Can you see, if it is marked as priority?" He said yes, it is marked as priority. I asked twice, to be sure, same answer.
Oszi ccongrats...did they actually send u your file number? because if i can understand your case you haven't received official AOR by email/post. clarify because i'm in a similar situation

That is good news. It means I should also hope the same because I am Civil Engineer and without french i have 63 points too. So in this case my application will also be slected as on priority? Any Civil engineer/ Computer engineer having masters will have priority in selection?
Cheers
