Just rang BIQ Montreal few secs ago,and the person told that I will be treated under new rules as my file is just being processed. But I got my AOR,I guess the AOR has nothing to do with old rules....lol....good some way...
Up to an additional 6 points may be awarded upon the interview for Adaptability. With these points awarded, a single applicant must score a minimum of 55 points. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 63 points.
Has the minimum score changed in the new rules from 49 to 55?

well i guess you file began processing in August ( this week ), and she meant to tell you your file has just begun processing ...
but anyways i can see you are a nurse and under new rules u would get more points for it ...
BTW : i believe it is NOT FAIR to make the threshold point between new rules and old rules is whether ur file has begun processing ot not !
what about guys who spent 1 or more years preparing the file, for me it took exactly 12 months between start preparing papers and getting email of File number and all the stuff costed me around 4000 $ for preparation and paper work and fees and exams and using aramex 4 times ..
seems that this world is not fair at all .. even in Canada where we run from our countries, still there is injustice sometimes !
PS: similar case of Federal guys who had their files before February 2008 !
hope everybody luck ..

Hello,
now no more Hongkong office, already moved to Montreal, you can call to + 1 514 864-9191 (8 am to 4.30pm montreal time)
Is anybody having trouble calling BIQ Montreal a few hours ago, when they were still open (for August 6, Tuesday)? I'm just getting a busy tone... Is it really busy or their phone system is down?

Mdammalli, are you sure its 42 or it is 49 ?? because they will anyway give max 6 points for adaptability, hence why will they accept an application with 42 points ?? or will they ?
It is 42 points minimum required for them to consider your application for processing. However, you will receive your CSQ only when your score 55+ at the time of decision. I have read this from official website long back, but now I could not find any link to support this. Could anybody please confirm this?
Hello everyone,
Do you think the 20,000 caps will be filled already? I submitted my application last July 16, 2013 and have not heard from them yet. I am not sure whether they will begin counting 20,000 for all documents processed after August 1.
Anyone shed a light on this?
