thats very good questions, that will prove that once we get our AOR means we are partially accepted.
Why do they give us AOR? means they studies our files and interview to confirm all provided info is correct.
they can refuse you during interview but its rare
just go to interview and your total points passing with only calculating 1 point adaptability
Wait, which AOR are you talking about? The first one, which they send shortly after charging a Credit Card? I was charged and got my AOR in 2.5 months after applying. Does that mean I have a good chance of getting CSQ after all?
I still have no idea what AOR indicates. All I know is – it means the package was complete and correctly filled. Does it indicate anything about my points? Do they send AOR if you don't have enough points, for example?
Also, I thought there are 6 max points for adaptability...

There is only one AOR and its on receiving the application and verifying that all the docs are intact.. Is there any other AOR ?

AOR is when they open your file and it has serial number, during this stage they calculate basic points and either they refuse or accept.
AOR is of Quebec then the second AOR from federal.
With adaptability they can play a game to refuse, lets say you total points 52 and you need 3 points for accpetance, he can give you 2 points and ull be 54 and refused.
1 point everyone gets, so if you go 54 youll pass he cant refuse you

I see! Thanks, I didn't know about 1 point that everyone gets.
I have a question about points for English under new rules. What is the maximum for English – 6 o 3? I am confused about this table (page 45 of the new guide):
I wonder if listening+speaking give you 2 points max TOGETHER or 2 points for each.

Guys, I need your help!
Take a look at this page –
http://www.canadavisa.com/quebec-immigration-education.html. Section "
Quebec diploma".
It says Quebec diploma gives you 6 points. I didn't find ANY official support for that statement. Is it true? I'm confused! I really counted on it (I have a "diploma treated as Quebec diploma")
i advice you just to wait as David;s cohen page is not updated yet

i still believe who applied under old rules will be treated under new rules, because to b treated under new rules, they must ask applicants for new applications, to be treated under new rules.
but i am sure the interviews will be very strict, i hear that the acceptance or rejection decision is taken before interview, interview just to see us and our original documents.
Lemans i guess you wanted to say Will be treated according to OLD rules, right ?

Hey lemans,
I would like to hear your comments on new AOT and language rules will it be applied to the applicants whose files are not yet processed but they have received AOR.
As I saw my AOT has jumped from 6 to 12 points.
Appreciate your feedback!

I do not think so. But I think this is call center topic, or you need someone (a consultant) who tried it before, who has experience with that kind of change. I think a new app is much safer.
Hey OSZI,
Did you get the exact definition of preliminary processing ?
There are different concepts and speculations around and nothing has been made clear yet in any of the recent update.

well according to me there is a difference between primarily processing and examination they haven't define that term in GPI and i am now trying to improve my french level.
i applied in 2012 and i was given AOR cos i ve a valid AOT In the list of 2009 AOT if my AOT is assessed then my file is under process but still the term Processing is undefined

You are very much right .
It's very vague information about preliminary processing
and in 2012 if you AOT Is valid and u fetch points in the list of the area of training then ur application is accepted for an AOR otherwise the docs with the fee returned back to you. so the guys in 2012 have a clear idea where their files will lie this is a valid point which made me thinking that my primarily processing has been started as i was 2012 applicant idk what other guys who have now more pts don't think that u fetch more points in 2013 then 2012 and new rules will be applicable on you think logically. i think so old rules on the applicants of 2012 march until 31 july 2013 cos their AOR has been issued on the basis of AOT and in 2012 aor takes 6 months before it takes 1 months cos they don't do verifications and aot check before 2012 april

I know, but was it really true for the old rules?
Because the same page says there are max 12 points for education, but then education itself and Quebec diploma can give you 12+6=18 points max. I'm confused...
