For Hotels:
Booking.com offers good rates, but beware Istanbul traffic is as worse as in Cairo, so better to book smthg close to the embassy
Also for airlines, Turkish Airlines rates are even better than the local one

For me Turkish Airlines are cheaper than the MEA airlines .. so when it happens of course I'll choose the cheaper ;D

now your different case than us, but I think soon they will find solution for it.
Why they make interview for us, they dont make interview for federal applicants.

They make interviews to clarify data mentioned under each one's applications ...
Many applicants lie or fake degrees or mention some high rates under the language section while they don't know a lot etc ....
That's why they do interviews

Me 2 my friend ... I'm close to 2 years now
When I applied it was suppose to take max 1 year for the interview ...
But after all, thank GOD because for the future it's getting harder and harder .... till one day in my opinion they will close the door of immigration ???

Eng.Mero ... The hotel is the Hilton Parksa where the interview took place, but mft25 mentioned that the hotel was fully booked so they upgraded her to the hilton istanboul which is around 10 minutes driving ...

Guys about the Hilton Parksa...the interviewS are taking place here, but i advise u not to stay in this hotel, it's little far from center, and no public transport there, u'll have to use only taxi. More it's not a nice hotel, and even the officers that are holding the interviews are not staying there. They arrive to the hotel 5 min before starting interviews !
There are no restaurants around, no markets, nothing at all, it's somehow on a hill...so kindly advise u to book a hotel in Sultan Ahmet area, from where u can reach hilton parksa in taxi in 10 min with 10 -15 $.

My friend got an email about the waiting list around august 20 and till now he didn't get an invitation for the interview.
So when he get an invitation, i will start preparing

because in other BIQ got invitation after 2 weeks, thats why javeed posted not so long for interviews after waiting list

also papuli after about a months was called for interview
