Same goes for GCMS notes. Yes they take around 30 days but also pointless to order frequently because it often shows the same thing and there are long periods where nothing happens. At the end of the year most PR programs have met their quotas and there is minimal processing and work during the holidays.
With due respect, Canuck, I have been following this forum for a long time and have observed that your responses often discourage people rather than providing the guidance they seek. It seems that, despite being a senior member, you rarely offer the answers or support that many members expect.

For instance, many of us have been waiting for our PR for over 43 months, while others completed the process in avg 24 months. It’s a challenging and emotional journey, and it feels disheartening.

I friend of mine just got his P1 even though he’s not from Quebec ( applied in Ontario February 2022 ) he waited 35 months before a final decision

The recent update on Quebec’s processing times now totalling 46 months compared to 19 months when I applied I was highly stressed all day and after careful consideration I have made the difficult decision to leave Quebec.
Despite raising three children who have grown up immersed in Quebec’s culture and language, and who have pursued their education in French but the increasingly restrictive policies of the Quebec government have made it clear that our future here is not sustainable.
It is unfortunate to feel compelled to make this choice but we must prioritize opportunities where we feel welcomed and supported.

I’ve actually never thought about leaving so I don’t know much can you or anyone else guide me a little bit or just give me a brief idea on how it works

I have started considering this option as well and am exploring opportunities in different provinces. Some of my friends, along with their families, have already moved to Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia

Good Decision. I am actually in the process of moving too. A friend with whom i applied in May 2022 moved to Ontario in June 2024 and updated his address. He sent webforms asking them to transfer his file to Ontario. It took a couple of months but in December, he received both his Portal 1 and 2. That is significant progress. It is unfortunate but i feel like we may never get the PR if we remain in Quebec. Good luck to all!

It doesn’t add up for me at all cuz I know people from Quebec that’s have received PR in 42 months as protected person that applied early 2021
The problem is there are 38k protected person in Quebec ( as of 2024) and 3.5 k get PR every year that makes it 10 years before everyone gets PR how does this make sense ? Why is the processing time 46 months if it’s not real

There is a known difference in processing times between Quebec and the rest of Canada. This was not a secret. Discouraging people from calling or emailing IRCC frequently does not help your file and yes it is a resource drain which could be redeployed since it isn’t one person contacting them it thousands per day. I’m sure waiting is difficult but IRCC publishes processing times so that people have a realistic view of how long processing may take. They also publish quotas and you are able to see processing information online.
