I am a little confused about the PR card application form.
I plan to pre-fill this form before my landing so that it saves some time there.
In the form, Section C mentiones "Your address history for the past 5 years or if you became a PR less than 5 years ago, your address history since becoming a PR". Similar ques is also mentioned for work and education.
You do not need to fill in the PR Card Application form before landing. The form available online is for someone who is applying for a PR card who is already in Canada.
When you land in Canada, the Border Services Officer will take your address in Canada to process your card.
Please note that you need to have a residential address in Canada. I asked the Officer when I landed in Canada to send the card to my work, but he said that the PR card could only go to a residential address.
You do not use IMM5444E for your INITIAL application for a PR card! The officer will only ask for the address to which to send your cards since, at landing, the officer has all your information for the card.
After my landing, i plan to come back in a week.
Can i apply for health card within that week. Do we require a residence proof for a health card?
Thanks for your help....please reply
