Good day,
Please i need your advice in respect of career prospect in Canada.I have studied this site very well and i quite understand that to succeed in Canada you need to earn their certificates and have a faith in God.I have tried to surf the net to search for what course i can do to earn me a good job in the Finance sector.
My quest for success has made me to ask my landed seniors about these two courses;
1] Postgraduate in Finance planning from George brown college
2] Canadian securities courses or IFC

I want to know the prospect of each of the courses and what are their relevances to the Canadian economy.

Thank You for your assistance

Being in a regulated profession - u'd need 'local' edn to be licensed to practice ur work. Usually CGA is a 'mother-of-all' requirement in ur profession here. W/out that it'd be tough to fetch any middle-mgt position. Entry-level positions in a non-accounting firm is plausible. If u had previous [overseas] banking experience - u could find a suitable banking employment here w/out any further studies.

Ur twin choices:
1. That course is a 'dud'... won't help u, IMHO.
2. Very nice choice for a banker [pls read Explorer101's take on it... he's from that field & currently pursuing this certification].

Qorax

Thanks qorax. Am an economist graduate with 6yrs banking experience and i dont intend to working in accounting firm but mainly banking or any other financial sector.so i dont think CGA will be necessary, what other courses or cert one can do to have an edge in canadian market.
Thank

Why would having "faith in god" give you a better advantage in getting a good job?
