Spouse is not principal applicant. 2 questions regarding her reference letters. Please seniors advise.

1) One letter is from 1986 , it is an original reference letter. Business closed years ago and cannot get a "recent" reference letter or work contract because she was never under contract in the first place.

2) Other letter is one from her own business, she opened own business and that lasted for about 1.5 years. She ended up closing it down. What to do for this case? Can she make a reference letter for herself and a sworn statement? Please advise.

Re: EXPERT ADVICE NEEDED FOR REFERENCE LETTERS SPOUSE

For spouse you can provide whatever you have. I did the same and CHC never asked for recent letters for spouse. Only PA need to get the recen reference letters. No worries go ahead and apply soon.

@Roger
Spouse reference lettter is not required if she is not a PA.
You can be evaluated on your own merit as the principal applicant and if you make the points ,your file will be processed.

1) Only the previous one is fine.

2) For her own business -- just pen a 'self-declared' JD, also stating the fact -- that it was her own.
