My wife and I are temporarily living with my parents and would like to have her get her OHIP. We are not paying rent nor do we have a lease agreement with my parents. My parents own their house. Can I make a letter from my parents saying my wife lives at their house that isOK for OHIP proof of residency? What information should this letter include?
They are very strict what you are allowed as proof, so you can ONLY show proof specifically from "list 2" of this file, to show address: http://www.forms.ssb.gov.on.ca/mbs/ssb/forms/ssbforms.nsf/GetFileAttach/014-9998E-82~1/$File/9998-82E.pdf
The one that may apply to her, is "Mortgage, rental or lease agreement". So I would make any letter look like an official rental agreement.
Note that if your wife just landed March 7, she is not eligible for OHIP until 3 months (June 7), so there is no rush.
You can create free lease agreements online. Create one with the parents as landlords and you as tenants. Print out - problem solved

Thank you both kindly, I will print out a rental agreement.
