For Quebec , what's the exact amount (2 adults 1 child), to be shown as proof?
And what are the options (cash, home country bank statement, DD) ?

I have a feeling thats required for all provinces except Quebec. Can someone please confirm the amount required for Quebec ?

Hopefully landing Toronto next week. My concern is about accepatble easy landing fund showing. I tried to open bank account before landing but no bank is given this except for uk residents. So I contacted money transferring agents they allow only bank deposit for high amount like 12000 cad. So I am thinking to issue a money order from my name to one of my family friends Canadian bank account and later I will get it back. Is it ok to satisfy immigration officer during landing and showing all documents and fact telling. You know carrying cash too much is Risky! How safe is it to carry a lot of cash by hand. Any way can I get money transferred to my friends account as it is swift within 10 minutes deposit as PIN and easy with a great transaction exchange rate! Is it unacceptable to immigration or I can explain my case. Actually I found this quite convenient. My concern is whether it is enough to meet the requirements as money order is from my name to friends name temporarily .
Let me know quickly as I have to arrange all in short time.

Hi,

I listed my family (spouse and child) as un-accompanying dependant while submitting PR application. Although I showed that I have sufficient fund for the 3 of us during the application process, do I still need to prove same when I'm landing or show just for myself?

They wont be joining me till I can sponsor them as family sponsor.

Any ideas pls?

why did you list them as unaccompanying dependents and have the burden later of applying through sponsorship? Wasn't it easier for you to apply together, land and get your pr cards - they could have then returned and rejoined you once you have settled.

It was to increase my CRS, which it did.

Hi,

Just have a small query regarding proof of funds. Is a Forex card/Multi-currency travel card with required CAD$(>12000) considered an acceptable proof by immigration officers at the time of landing ?

Regards.
Hi,
I was planning to do the same. Load a Travel Forex card with the required funds. Is it acceptable? Has anyone tried this?

Regards..

You might be asked for POF on landing and you'll have to show at least $18,617.

Thank you for clearing that.

I can show my home country account details in addition to cash at hand to prove that I think? or I have to show I have the whole money in Canada when my family is back home?

Get recently dated documents from your bank, those would suffice.
