guys we take our Bank Draft (for proof of landing/settlement fund) from emirates bank in UAE today, that is in US dollar, but I've noticed that the recipient bank is City Bank with Branch in US...do you think this will create a problem? of the recipient bank should be in Canada....They told me, it is OKAY considering that City Bank is all over....they also said that I can even even deposit that to my account in other banks in Canada, once I open an account.....thanks

I am planning to take US bank's cashier checks as proof of landing.
My worry is: how should I bring back the money into US? I will be staying in Canada only for 3-4 days. Could I just deposit the same Cashier's check in my US accoutn once I am back to US?

Suggest contacting CIC if you are driving in for a few days to just complete your landing.
I have heard they are accepting US bank statements as POF for landing at US border, so you will not need a cashiers check.
You can just complete the landing and drive back the same day (but they will not accept your Canadian address for PR card delivery and your goods to follow list, in this case).
I didn't want to take a risk, took a self-payable cashier's check with me. The officer did ask for proof of funding and was happy with the check.
I just completed the landing a couple of days back and now am back to US.
