I have had my balance maintained for more than 6 months now, can I convert it into a fixed deposit and show it to IRCC? will they raise an objection? The fixed deposit will be made in the same bank account and the bank is ready to write that the funds were indeed there for 6+ months

Of course you can’t. The whole point of proof of funds is to demonstrate you have liquid cash available.
