I have the following questions about the proof of funds:
- Can I issue the proof of funds letter with local currency not CAD? of course the amount will equal or exceed CIC needs after the conversion.
- Most of the local banks issue this proof of fund (account balance) not in English, should I translate it? should I open an account in another international bank that can issuing it in English?
- Can I issue this letter from more than one bank? for example issue an account balance with $10k from bank "X" and another one with the rest of the amount from bank "Y"?

My "Proof of Funds" is in the form of a bank letter stating that so much amount is there in savings deposit in a/c no. as on today"
Is it sufficient? Is this letter supposed to be original or photocopy? At some places, it is written "original", while at others, it is mentioned "photocopy".

As long as it notarized you can do the translation yourself to my understanding.
I am not sure what is the definition of "notarized"? is this means a specific governmental entity should notarized the translation and stamp it? I know that probably this will differ from country to another, but any info will help.

Please refer the document checklist to verify if its required in original or not. The only thing required in original I believe was ECA + IELTS + PCC but still confirm it.
