As per my knowledge you can show a joint account with your spouse if she is accompanying you.
Now my question is can I use a joint account with my father for proof of funds ?
If you are a single applicant, then POF with a joint account should work. Even I would be showing POF with a joint account with my parents.
I have got this confirmed from 2 people.
In case you are married, then I don't know if this is acceptable.
I feel it may still be fine. But better get this confirmed from other members in this forum.

You've twisted it around. If your spouse is accompanying you then you can show a joint bank account, however if you're a single applicant it is highly unlikely cic would accept a joint bank account in your parent's name. The reason being because the funds shown should be yours hence if you have a joint bank account with your parents how is cic going to determine the proportion of the funds that is actually yours? I'ld advise you to get a signed declaration from your parents allowing you full access to all the funds.
That's right. I have got a Gift deed signed by my parents along with a cheque in my name showing exclusively the amount that I am free to use without returning it. My name also appears in the joint account holders
I got nomination from SINP and expecting to get ITA from next draw.
SINP accepted spouse bank statements. In my case, most of my money are term deposits and named by my wife. I am the primary account holder and my account transfers the installment to my wife's deposit account.
If CIC doesn't accept spouse's fund, I will be in big trouble. In this case, why SINP has accepted spouse fund?
If anybody faced this type problem, please help me.
