Greetings,
As a single applicant, I need to show funds of 12475 CAD. But my six month average (monthly closing balance average) is only around 10500 CAD.
Is it going to be an issue?
Also, I added around $2300 over the last 30 days to meet the requirement. Do I need to explain the source for that?
Thanks a lot for reading through

If you are not applying under PNP,
Then just submit balance certificate from Bank and upload 3 months of bank statement, You will be fine since 2300 CAD is a little amount.

Dear Sir
there is a lot of confusion regarding average balance and closing balance. I am looking for a person who has personally gone through the experience of submitting average balance less than the required amount however the closing balance was fine. Please let me know your personal experience.
Thanks
Rameez
as long as u have not borrowed money from anyone and the amount belongs to you and u can prove it thn u don’t have to worry
Btw I m going thru that. My average 6 months balance was less than the minimum amount. But my source of funds is my salary. So I m pretty sure cic won’t raise an objection on that

thanks for the prompt response bro.
I have heard similar responses from different sources and I am 90% sure that it is the case. However I just want to check with a person who has actually done this just to be on the safe side.

Rameez
Let’s hope u find someone who I can appease, if not then let that balance stay in your account for additional months till your average balance is reflected as little over the minimum amount and then apply if u can afford to wait or if u havent applied yet
But u shud be fine

thanks for the response. Just need to clarify a small thing. What do u mean by "one month blank statement"?

Typo... "one month bank statement"
Hi i have balance in my account which i opened in december 2017 and transferred money in that account in december 2017 from my fathers and my joint account. Now that balance is 10 months old. So my question is that is the 6 month statement is enough or i have to provide letter of explanation too.
Hello, my 6mths average balance was less than that required for a family of three, but we showed increasing trend and in last month the adequate required funds were there. My wife and I are both salaried so we gave a LOE detailing that we transferred our salaries from our salary account to joint account.
However, since then we have kept the balance in our joint account in case it is asked for again at any time, especially landing. Also, remember that a lot depends on the analyst/officer looking at your file, and if they are not comfortable and feel that their is a sudden unwarrented jump in balance, they can always ask for more information.
I am FSW-O, June AOR and got PR last week. Hope this helps.

Again... the decision, whole and sole depends on the Officer. So I would suggest you be ready with all the details and as someone said..you must be fine as long as you can prove that it is available for you to use anytime you want and the sum is not borrowed.
Hmm did you had any supplementary statements? Investments etc.?
None.
