Hey

Could anyone review this simple financial breakdown i made? Also when i fill out the IRCC form.... should i use Total Liquid Funds (After Feb 2026) section or the current one? My program is in ICM is for 2 years then 3 years in the University of Manitoba , i think i have sufficient funds for at least 2 years of ICM + tuition fee for my third year, i also explained in detail how i would get the rest of the funds for the remaining 2 years . What do you guys think my chance of approval is? Also i have 3 uncles who finished their Masters or PHDs in the USA and Europe , they are now professors of their respective university faculty in Egypt, should i mention that because they did return to Egypt after finishing their studies. Im planning on doing the same.

If investment certificates are cash in the bank now then okay. If not available until Feb 2026 then may not be considered. Also your dad's personal account should have explanation that he has other funds to support himself and his family. Uncle's education and returning home are not relevant. With changes to study permits, you will now need to apply for a new study permit for U of M meeting the POF criteria. And you can no longer study at U of M until your permit is approved. So you may have a couple of semesters where you cannot study or work between schools.

Thanks for the reply, I created a similar table summarizing my dad’s personal account as you suggested, and the rest of the funds for the new SP will be available before I apply, it now depends on whether the visa officer believes I can support the remainder of my education in Canada after ICM—which I’ve addressed in my SOP, feel I have enough for at least three years even if I have to cover living expenses myself or partially, and I went ahead and applied today, so wish me luck and thank you again for all your help—I truly appreciate it!

Funds for when you get admission and PAL for U of M will be assessed in your next application since you will have to apply for a new study permit and cannot study at U of M until approved.

Yep this is exactly what i mean , so do you think the VO will only asses me based on my ICM program because if he did then i think i have more than enough? I think he will have to consider how i will fund the rest of my education though right?

Yes because you will have to show funds again, PAL and apply for study permit for U of M. Also depending when your ICM program finishes, you may have semesters off before a response on U of M application. Not sure of your plans because don't believe you can work at ICM and would not be able to work between programs.

It is somewhat assumed that if you are doing a transition program that you want to attend college/university after that so whether you have the funds to transition to a university education may be assessed. It is impossible to say and we don’t see many people taking transition programs first on this forum.

Also in the past with students attending ICM (which is sort of a scam school with a bad rep), students could just extend study permits and change DLI. Now with needing a new studying permit and PAL, it will be interesting to see how students of ICM make out and get approval for the second study permit.
