I have a fixed deposit receipt and want to use that as my POF. I have to send scanned copy of my POF. Do i need to take any certificate from the bank for that or i can use the receipt scanned copy ?
If u have the original FD letter issued from bank, then u need to get attested by notary in xerox. You should not send original FD. You should also send bank statements with stamp from bank. Need to do notary as well on bank statements.

Do i need to make notary for it ? Because its already in english and no need to translate. Also, about the bank statement, the FD itself is an account and doesn't have any bank account to get bank statement. So i don't have anything to show in a bank statement. The FD itself shows that a certain amount has been kept at the bank for a time period.

I have also done fixed deposits and got fixed deposit certificate. I got photocopy of the certificates and got them attested. Also I got a letter written by the bank on their letterhead confirming that the FDs are mine and are singly operated and can be encashed anytime on my request. Thats what I have done, so lets see if CIC accepts that
