Prohibition and background verification

What s the difference between prohibition and background verification. My background verification was updated to complete yesterday. The only thing still in process is the prohibition I’m aug 2019 applicant

I've read somewhere on this forum that background verification is done by RCMP, which is why it's very quick whereas prohibitions are done by CSIS. But I have no way of knowing whether this is true or not.

I called ircc today the agent told that my security clearance is done but the track still shows in progress for the prohibition
Any advice?

What number are you calling on? I’ve never called for a follow up but want to try.

Which number did you call on? I called 1 888 242 2100 and got a recorded message that I should check online for updates.

Nope! Nothing.
I'm super confused because mostly people having updated with :language physical and prohibition at the same time but not me tho hahahha I don't get it.

Dec 11th 2020 application started

February 5th 2021 background completed

July 28th 2021 citizenship test ( passed)

August 29th 2021 test completed

Dec 30th 2021 physical and language completed

Prohibition in progress

Citizenship ceremony : not started

Location : Winnipeg Manitoba
