your english is fine im not sure if the date cpp ottawa received the application is even accurate, I applied paper application march 11 canada post tracking shows cpp ottawa received and signed the application March 14 but automated message frm call center says cpp received it March 13. anybody with tracking frm canadapost see who signed for it when cpp got it?

Let's all send ottawa the same email today .. telling them that we are a group that sent our application on the week of March 10th and we didn't receive anything while on their site they are saying that they are processing application received March 31st ... I sent the email please do it and confirm here that you sent it ... It is important that you send it today or tomorrow in order for them to notice us ... Anyone agree ?

I didn't receive my original study permit through mail so I attached the letter of approval/introduction that says that you have been granted the study permit extension, and I attached this letter of approval in my TRV extension application, this letter of approval mentions the application number, uci number, date of expiry. Does it make any difference in the visa extension?

I think you should be okay as long as you gave them the UCI number and the expiry. This proves that you have a valid study permit. However, it is hard to predict which way it will go because it can change officer to officer who is processing the application.
