I just received an email from VFS saying additional details are required. Do not know what is the hell going on.

They gave me the tracking id and AWB number. Both are not yet trackable.

Update: Just got the mail that my passport is sent to IRCC.

Yes I too received an email saying: Your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXX is in transit and has been dispatched to the IRCC Office through the NEW DELHI Office, on 2021/07/27 for processing. For further details, please contact the VAC helpline number or refer to our website at: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/India

Hi All,
my wife applied for PRTD on June 29, 2021, via email, she got acknowledgement same day
next day they asked her all copies of passport, which she sent it to them on the same day
it's been 28 days, no response/ approval on her file

she became PR on March 06, 2020
went to India, April 24, 2021
Never received her first PR Card, so have to apply for PRTD
we filled humanitarian and compassionate grounds' section in PRTD application as she never got her first pr card and application was sent back to us twice because it was over 90 days before they processed

Please help!

I was also in similar situation and applied for PRTD under normal category and not under compassionate grounds. I shared my husband’s PR card, marriage certificate and my employer details to show my future residency obligation. Mine was approved in 15 days.

Applied on June 23rd still waiting.

It looks like as the VAC was closed in India they are delaying the approval of PRTD as to not swamp the VAC with stampings.
