You should have received AWB number when then emailed you the tracking number for the very first time

Call VFS I think they can provide you the AWB number

Nah, no such info was provided to me. Only VFS tracking # 20 digit alphanumeric number was given.

I just called VFS they told me that AWB number takes 24hours to activate

Have you received any update on yiu passport ? Any confirmation emails?!

I received my stamped passport today. It took me 2 days after receiving message in cic account about the information of dispatching passport.
9 aug-message in cic account that passport is stamped
11 aug- got messages about passport dispatching
13 aug- passport reached home.
U will receive it soon.

When your receive your passport request you will get the application # which starts with R use that # and link it through your account by selecting permanent resident card category

I won’t recommend coming to India without your PR card.
VAC are slow, and they close when covid cases rise. No timeline when things will get done. If its not atmost emergency do not come without your PR card. It will add up stress when u have to deal with all this nuisance processes here.

It seems i might have to travel as my dad is not well. Just trying to understand the current timelines for PRTD processing . Based on some posts, it seems ~2 months. Is that right? My PR card is under renewal, its been around 45 days. Based on current trend, it will take till october to get the pr renewal processed
